Ayling’s first experience in real estate administration was a seven year stint as office administrator for a local real estate company in the 1980’s where she also worked with Diane Ritchie.
Taking a break from real estate, Ayling then spent four years as school secretary at a local intermediate school.
In 1992 Ayling was approached by a former employer and asked if she would be interested in taking up the position of office administrator for a new real estate agency he was opening in Gisborne. Ayling gladly took up the challenge of helping to set up a new office. When she left that employment in 2006 she was the assistant manager, and after 14 years decided it was time for a change.
This led to Ayling being contacted by a local Chartered Accountancy firm, offering her a position within their company as Tax Administrator.
After this two year break from work in the real estate industry, Ayling was delighted when Diane contacted her in February 2009 and asked her to join Ray White Gisborne as office manager – it felt like “coming home”.
Honest, reliable, hardworking, ethical, are all terms that describe Ayling’s character and attitude to work and life.
